It is proposed at the commencement to have a Principal on £900 a year, a professor on £700 a year, and two lecturers on Rs. 300 month each. The two professors will be recruited in England för a specific teria of service, and the two lectureships will be held by qualified Indians. The college will be affiliated to the University of Bombay, which has instituted a degree of Bachelor of Commerce and framed à scheme of studies in connection therewith.

At a sitting of the Japanese Police Court last week in connection with tho bomb-manufacturing case recently re- ported, orders of deportation were made against the two accused.

The case was heard before Mr. D. Yamamoto, Magis brate, and the charge against the two men. by pame Matsukawa and Saiki. was that during the month of June 1913, they had in their possession or under their control bombs or other explosives with intent to cause or enable others to cause danger to life red property.

PROPERTY STOLEN AND RE- COVERED IN HONGKONG.

The catimated value of property stolen during the year was 8473,476.77 as against $256,711.32 in 1911, 11.11 increase of $216,765.45. The average for the five years is $281,742.73, an increase on the average report in 1911 of $66,424.5. The value of properly recovered and restored owners WAS $43,210.21 as against 851,742,89 in 1911, a decrease over pro perty recovered in the previous year of 86,542.68.
