MERVOUS DISORDERS: THEZE CAUSE AND
OVER.
Eight people out of every ten in China have some form of nervous weakness They may not realise it at the moment, but they bave it all the same. Sooner or later they suffer from one or other of the innumerable symptoms which mark this eondition.
12
Thus one person may suffer from sleep- lessness, another from loss of memory, others from depression of spirits, great fatigue after slight exertion, marked lassitude, so-called nervous dyspepsia, and so on in endless variety, for there is nothing more amazing than the number of different symptoms which nervous dis orders induce.
The great cause of nervous disorders is, undoubtedly, the too rapid, using up of the body's supply of phosphorus, which is of the utmost necessity for the health of the nerves, blood, etc. As Dr. Baleeby: the famous medical author, states: is a curious fact that though phosphorus by itself is of no food value to the body, yot, when it is combined with other elo ments, it is a valuable food, and is, indeed, absolutely necessary for life,"
Ordinary phosphorus, however, and the common drugs which contain it are practically useless for the purpose. The phosphorus must, as Dr. Salceby states, be combined with other elements.
The prepartion which best answers these requirements for restoring the phosphorus to the body and thus affecting a cure of these nervous disorders, is Sanatogen. It is thus described by Sir Charles A. Cameren, B., M.D., Medical Officer of Health and Public Analyst of Dublin: Sapatogen is a substance of the highest nutritive value, containing, as it does, a large amount of organic phosphorous that is, phosphorus which is offered to the tissues in exactly the form in which it can be

Chevalier VOLPICELLI suggested that Mr. Hickling should preside.
Mr. TATA supported the suggestion, and, this representing the wish of the meating. the reverend gentleman took the chair.
When the CHAIRMAN was looking over his notes, Mr. TATA asked him to read the two letters which he had sent to him.
The CHAIRMAN--Excuse me, Mr. Tata.. 1 think you had better leare the conduct of the meeting in my hands. Proceeding, he gave an historical sketch of the establishment of the first Dogs Home at Yaumati and of the second Dogs' Home at Causeway Bay, giving prominence to the work of Mr. F. K. Tata in the matter. He pointed out that the first home was self-supporting, and that success made them feel that they were justified in at tempting the second dogs' home.
