The O.S.K. str. Chicago Matu, which left Hongkong on the 27th November, arrived at Tacoma on the 27th Decem- ber, a.m.
The C.P.R. str. Empress of Japan arrived at Yokohama on the lith January, at 8 am, and left again at 11 am. same day for Kobe, where she was due to arrive on the 12th January, at 11 a.m.
The P. & O, str. Assaye left Singapore for this port on the 12th January, at 6 a.m., with the outward English mails, and is due here on the 17th January, at about 9 a.m.
The P.M. str. Persin left Yokohama
on the 11th January, at 11a.m., carrying the United States mails direct to Hong. koug, via Nagasaki and Shanghai.
The L.G.M. str. Princess Alice, which left here on Wednesday, the 11th De- cember, at 10 a.m., arrived at Genoa on Tuesday, the 7th January, at 7 a.m.
