SARAWAK'S FUTURE.

The independence of Sarawak formed the subject of a question in parliamentary papers on the 9th alt.

Mr. J. F. Remnant asked Mr. Harcourt whether the Colonial Office had been. the annexation of the independent State of Sarawak to the British Crown; and, if not, whether he is prepared to declare the policy of bis Majesty's Government in refercace to the maintenance of the independent status of Sarawak as regards internal affairs.
