The E. & A. str. Empire left Sydney on the 29th October for this port (via Queensland Ports and Manila).·

The NY. K. str. Tumang 3⁄4ture (Aus tralia Line) left Sydney for this port via ports on the 30th October, and is expected here on the 13h November.

The C.P.R. str. Empress of Japan arrived at Nagasaki on the ard Noveri ber, at 8 am, and left again, at 2.30 p.m. same day for Shanghai, where the was due to arrive on the 4th November, at 8 p.m.

The P. & O. str. Assage loft Singapore for this port on the 2nd November; at 8 a.m., with the outward Englishmails, and is due here on the 7th November, at about 6 a.m.

MERCHANT STEAMEES. The "Ben Line str. Bemohr, from Leith, Middlesbro and London, left Singapore on the 29th October, for this port, and is expected to arrive here on or about 6th November.

The "Barber Line" str. Egremont. Castle from New York left Penang on the 29th October, and is therefore due here on or about the 5th November.

The N.Y.K. str. Sanuki Mara (Bombay Line) left Singapore for this port on the 30th October, and is expected here on the 5th November.

The Danish str. Indien is expected here on or about the 28th November.

TheBarber Line" str. Wray Castle mailed from New York on the 18th August tor Hongkong via the Straits.

The str. Glenest passed the Suez Canal on the 15th October, for Hongkong via Straits.

The Benk Line str. Poleric sailed from New York on the American and Oriental Line service for Far Eastern ports via Saez Canal on the 5th October.

The Mogul Line" str. Lovat left United Kingdom on the 26th October, for the Far East via the Straits.

INDU-CHINA STEAM NAVIGATION CO., LTD. Chunsang, from Java, is due in Hong-

kong en 8th November. Fatsking, from Calcutta, is due in Hong-

kong on 11th November.

BHIRE LINE.

Denbighshire, from London, is due in
