The first two will deal broadly with the history of the project and the results to be expected from its accomplishment, They will te followed by several descriptive articles from Special Correspondent in Panama, who has just concluded a detail- ed inspection of the Canal zone and the progress of the work. The series will also contain an account of American coastwise shipping, and will review the question of railway competition, the engineering aspect of the Canal, the fight against tropical disease, and some con- aiderations of special importance to Bei- tish Imperial interests.
