BIG BLAZE AT SHAUKIWAN.
A big blaze took place at Messrs. Blackhead's coal store at Shaukiwan on Tuesday afternoon. Fire was discovered in one of the stacks, and some 1,800 tons of coal valued at $35,000 was consumed before the flames were extinguished. The fire is supposed to have been caused by overheating. The loss is covered by insurance.
