The P.M. S.S. Co. str. China sailed from San Francisco on the 12th inst., for Hongkong via Honolulu, etc., and is due to arrive at Hongkong on the 8th April. The T.K.K. str. The A.,str. Chinn loft Singapore for this port on the 22nd inat., and will arrive, here on the 28th inst.

The str. Afuttra left Rangoon for Hong- kong on the 18th inst., and is dus bore about the 20th inats, and will leave for Japan the following day.

The "Bor" Line str. Benavon from Middlesbre' and London left, Singapore on the 24th inst. for this port

The NY, str. Colomba Meru (Bano- bay Line) left Kobe for this port via Moji on the 25th inst, and is expected here on the 1st April.

The NY.K. str. Sanuki Muru (Ameri- can Liue) left Kobe for this port via Moji, Shanghai on the 25th inst., and is expect rd here of the 3rd April.

The str. Glenstrao passed the Suer Canal on the 19th inst., and is due hera on or about 20th April. -

The T.K.K. str. Hongkong Maru will be despatched from Callao on the 18th inst, for Hongkong, and is expected here on the 83rd May.

The C.P.X. Co.'s R.M.S. Empress of India left Vancouver, B.C., for Hong kong (via usual ports of call) on Thurs- day, the 7th March, at p.m.

THE ENGLISH MAIL

The P&O str. Dette loit Singapore for this port on the 23rd inst., at 1 p.m. with the outward English mails, and is due here on the 28th inst., at about 6 a.m.

THE INDIAN-MAIL

The str. Lightning, from Calcutta, left Singapore on Friday morning, and may Sat., 6th April, Noon, be expected here on or shout the 27th inst.

THE MERCHANTS STEAMERS. The N.V.K. str. Hitachi Maru (Euro- pean-Line) left Singapore. for this port i on the 22nd inst., and is expected here on the 27th inst., p.m.

The above Steamers are fitted with Hefrigerating Machinery, ensuring a plentiful supply of Ice, Fresh Provisions, eta, and are lighted throughout with Electricity, All State-Rooms have Electric Fans. A daly qualified Doster and Stewardess are carried.
