At Bew-strest, before Mr. Curtis Bennett Jules Paul de Boseok, alias Paul de Boseok, 31, of Bennett Park, Blackheath, was charged on provisional warrant, issued under the Fugitive Offenders Act, with revolving stolen property In the Biraits Settlements.

The

property in question is stated to be a part of jewelry of considerable value belonging to the Queen of Siam, which was stolen whils in course of transit from London to Bangkok.

Only evidence of arrest was given. Chief Lanpector Bower, of Scotland Yard, HJ, C. Marso stated that at 6.5 p.m. on Thursday he saw the scrnsed detained at Bowstreet Police Station and rend the wariant to him. The prisoner asked if it specified the articles he was alleged to have received, and being answered in the negative he said: "I don't understand it; an Fou enlighten me " The witness said, "So for 55 I anders and the matter at present it is alleged that

you gave a bookmaker at Singapore one or more stolen pearls" The defendant then asked, "Aro you speaking of the two pearls I gave a bookmaker named Cohen or Corsa at Singapore in settlement of a debt?” witness replied that he was, and the

Replying to the Magistrate, the prisoner said he hid not instructed a legal gentleman to represent him. He did not wish to cross- examine the witness.
