NEURASTUJENIA,
Although Neurasthenia is a term of quite modern use, and embraces a very great rium- ber of symptoms, nervous exhaustion is a condition which has long been known.

All these nervous sensations are capable of being remarkably improved, and even per. fecily cured, by means of Sanatogen. The medical evidence on this
point is exceedingly large and overwhelmingly conclusive. fact, no sufferer from neurasthenia, in what- over form the nervous exhaustion may mani- fest itself, need have the fast cause for des

"No more striking proof of its wonderful power can he desired than is set forth by Madame Sarah Grand, the distinguished novelist, who was Incapacitated for work for four years by nervous exhaustion, and after taking it three times a day for four months was as well as she bad ever been in her life. It appears certain that several new industries of an engineering chamster are to be established at North and South Queensferry. Beference has already been made to the proposals to open a small shipbuilding yard at North Queensferry. These, it is understood, emanate from a well-known West Coast engineering firm. It is now stated that an attempt was made to utilize the disused harbour and old pior known as Port Edgar, situated about a mile west of South Queensferry. They were inspected by the company, but the inspection showed that the expense of dredging away the large aceumplation of silt would be too beary, so the idra of establishing works thore was abandoned. It is also stated that the officials have boon considering the advisability of i
Fort Edgar as a base for AND CIGARETTES obtainable, consistent with price. nsing the supplying of oil fuel te warships lying the Forth. Pipes conll be led down to the pier from oil works situated not very far inland, and the vessels would obtain their fuel much more conveniently than at Granton, whither they go st present. Fort Edgar is some distance above the Forth Bridge, and is, therefore, within the protective radius of the new dockyard at Rosyth,

AMERICAN'S VIRW OF THE BRITISHER. Mr. Ercest H. Stolz, a young Americat business man, Low in London, writing in the Express says:
As a business man myself it is natural that I should wish to view at close quarters the business methods prevailing on this side, and I feel bound to say that they lose, nothing by comparison with our mothols at home n the States. I like the British methods of doing business. There is something solid and substantial about them. Daring my stay on this occasion, and aho when I paid a very briof visit a little while ago, I was very non- siderably impressed by the olea-headedness combined with the di nified manner in which business was transacted in this country, and I am quito sure all Americans wil bene mo out when I say that one may go far to find those who will treat one more courteously, fairly, and. with stricter regard to business etiquette than is the case in Great Britalo. MALACCA RUBBER CAPITAL INCREASE.
In their report for 1910 the directors of the Malacca Rubber Plantations (Limited) state that a great change has recently taken place in planting practice in the sense that the stumping and removal of all old jungie timber is now considered an essenial con- 'dition of estate management, as it largely ensures immunity from disease and increased Crononty in the upkeep of the estates.
The whole of the company's planted area of about 15,000 acres has been thus treated. This, the directors paint out, has involved a very heavy expenditure during 1930 and the current year, which has been chiefly met out of revenue. In order to adjust this expenditure on capital account arrangements have been made for the issue of 10.000 ordinary shares (of £1 each) at £15 PS share, the subscribers having the option for five years of taking four further ordinary shares, at the same price, for each share subscribed.
