The attention of the public is drawn to page 10, para 20, of the Hongkong Postal Guide for 1911. Stamps intended for Postage purposes may be perforated but not obliterated.
The Telemachus, with the Siberian Mail, is due to arrive here to-day,
The Public are informed that the Christmas and New Year Parcel Mail to the United Kingdom and the Continent of Europe by the long son route via Gibraltar will be closed in this. Office on Friday, the 10th of November, 1911, at 5 PM. This Parcel Mail is due in London on or about the 16th of December. The subseqnext Parcel Mail is not due to reach London before the 30th
of December. Parcels may be forwarded via Brindisi with an extra
fee of 60 cents.
Parcels containing any articls of Gold or Silver or Silver Mounted Goods must be insored for at least part of their value.
All insured parcels must be cosled, all the seals must be of the samo kind of wax and quat bear distinct impressions of a private device. The device on each seal must be the same. Regimental Buttons or Badges, Curved, Crossed or Dotted lines are not admissable, Coins must not be used for sealing.
The Clerks of the Post Office are not allowed to mal or to affix stamps on letters or parcels for the public.
Parcels that in the opinion of the ofloor accepting the same do not comply with the regulations will not be accepted.
