The card on this occasion comprised seven races, one more than on the ordinary programme of the off-day, but all the events were got through in good time despite tho grost delay, which took place in starting the second race. In the absence of the more experienced jockeys, Mr. Johnstone ex- cepted, and in the absence of the ponies described as certainties, the afternoon provided decidedly good sport, and those who patronised the pari-mutuel had the satisfaction of seoing bigger dividends, Winners paid out as much as $82.40, $65.70 and 855.70, while the biggest "sweep was $1,899.45.
