The Public are informed that the Christmas and New Year Parcel mail to the United Kingdom and other countries in Europe will be closed in this often at 5 p.m. on Friday, the 11th instaut. This parcel mail by the long son route via Gibraltar is deo in London on the 17th of December Parcels may be forwarded via Brindisi with an extra fee of 60 cents. Buch parcels are due io ranch London with tho Lettor mail on the 9th December.
Parcels containing any article of Gold or Silver must be insured for at least part of their Falue. All Insured parcels must be souled. All the seals on the parcel innet be of the same kind of wax and must bear distinct impressions of some private device. This device must be the samo on each scal, Strait, Carved, Dotted or Crossed lines are not admissable. Buttons or Coins must not he need for sealing parcels.
The Clorks of the Post Office are strictly forbidden to seal parcels or to affix Declaration Forms or Stamps on Farols or Letters for the Public Parcels that in the opinion of a Postal officer de not comply with the above regulations will not be accepted.
