DJEMBER RUABER ESTATES, The statutory meeting was held on June 3rd. Mr. Herbert C. Hadfield, who presided, said that the purchase of the estates had been com pleted in the terms set out in the prospectus. The Djembor Company had taken over all the shares of the vendor company-tha Dutch company and the directors had been appointed directors of that, undertaking. Thus it would not be necessary to form a ser company in Holland to comply with the law. The labour. force on the estates was ample at present, but the increased demand for Inbour, not only in 714 Jaya but also in Sumstra and Borneo, might the future. The climate, soil, and rainfall were all that could be desired.

The satend 'nusual moeting was held at Winchester Honse. Mr. A Mellwraith, who presided, said that the cost of development daring the past year amounted to £103. 6d. per sore, or £2 28, 11d, in excess of that in the previous year. This increased cast was of a temporary nature caly. The sale of produce and other receipts for the year amounted to £93,877, leaving a profit of £73,217. A dividend of 10 per cont. was paid last November, and it was now proposed to make a final distribution of 133 per cent. The estimated crop for 1910 was 350,000lb. No one boliered that the

presont condition of things with regard to the rubber market conld last, and it was not desirable in the interests of manufacturers and growers that it should do so. He moved the adoption of the
