A CURE FOR PLAQUE,
A man named Chang has for 20 years oarried on business in the Chiu Chow Prefecture. For some years he has beon in the habit of drinking a paixture of honey and tos as a relief for chronic asthma. Certain members of his family have also taken a liking to this mixture and are in the habit of drinking it. When plague
broke out in the Prefecture this family entirely escaped, and Chang attributed his preservation to the use of the honey. He published the news far and wide and when the plague broks ont during the hot weather of a few weeks ago several hundreds died, but all those who had taken Chang's specific are said to have escaped.
