HONGKONG FOOTBALL
ASSOCIATION.
The annual general mosting of the Hong- kong Football Association was held at the X3LCA Just evening. Mr. Frank Browne, of the Hongkong Football Ciak, was elected presi- dest, and Mr. A. N. Storrie, of the Kowloon Football Club, was elected secretary sad tren surer.
It was decided to allow any ship entering port ten days in which to notify the secretary that they were dosirous of joining the association,
It was also agreed to give the member of
all local clubs permission to play against the Camerons on their appranching visit to Hongkong.
Sapper F. Heigh, of the Royal Eguineers F, C, proposed that, "In the case of Naval or Military teams, we, as an Association, try to arrange that an Annual Contribu tion from sotaa Common Naval Body or AK- sociation, and Common Military Body Club, be paid in lieu of subscriptions, as laid ^ down in 'a rule, such manual contribution to include all Naval and Military Tasms who from time to time may be stationed in, or are visitors to, the South China Station."
After some discussion the motion was with- drawn, and it was decided to allow the matter to stand over until the next annual meeting to so how the present rule applied.
CRICKET
This winter pastime is not yet in fall swing, bat many clubs are practising hard. Nets ar up and are being used nightly with good effect.
The league meeting will take place on Mon- day, when arrangements will be made for com- mending the socious work of the season. As in the case of football, the formation of a junior league is being suggested, and prob. ably the subject will be discussed. it the meating. Quite a number of clubs are likely to join such a league, as, for instancs, Civil Service "A" team, C.C.C.. "A" tam, Lusitano, Parses, Moslem, Naval Yard, Taikoo, Chinese YMCA, and possibly several schoo teams. The diffealty of securing grounds on which trams could play is a problem which has to be faced, but difficulties are only made to be overcome, and some arrangement is possible whereby these junior teams should have their aricket enthusiasm fostered.
