The production on a screen of photographic pictures in natural colours has been greatly simplified by the camera-stereoption of Aude Cheron, a French experimenter. All successful pictures of this kind so far have depended on the three-colour-process," in

which thros negatives are made under earosus of the three primary colors, and the three pictares are in some way superposed or combined so as to be seen in a single view. The new apparatus is a small camera divided into thres compartments arranged in a triangle. Their object-louses of equal focus are placed in front of the compartments, and each is provided with an appropriato colour screen. With's lens of proper focus fitted into a ring that surrounds the three objectives, three different single-colour negatives of the same object are taken on a single plate. To project the views, a positive is inserted in place of

egative, a strong light is thrown upon the plate from behind, and a suitable lens in the ring around the three objectives concentrates and automatically superposes the three images light blursing, the coloured pictures so obtained
