CHINESE NEW KEAB HOLIDAY, U To-day, being Chinese New Year's day the General Post Office will not be open to the Public. No Collection from the Pilar Boxes or delivery will be made. To-morrowi the Post Office will be open from 7 am to noon-for the despatch of English Matl. There will bo one delivery of letters and a collection from the Pillar Boxes on Budaya

The Money Order Cifles will be entirely olored. In the event of the arrival of the Canadian Mail the Post Ofles will be open for one hour to-day, for the delivery thereof.

The

Peatmeter General London states that for the present the necessary (arrangements for the tram ietion of Ctah on Delivery Parcels from the United Kingdom to Hongkong are not completed at that end. Dus notion will be given as soon as a date can be fixed tch the commende ment of the outward service. This does not affect the Homeward service which commenced hers on the latinstant.
