THE HONGKONG DAILY PRESS, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4,

The Public are informed that the Christmas and New Year Parcel Mails to the United Kingdom will be closed in tis office at 5 pm. on Friday, November the 13th. This purcol mail by the long sea route is due in London on the 10th of December. Parcels may be forwarded via Basoet with an extra fes of 60 cents, auch parcels are due to reach London on or about the 11th December with the letter mail.

Farcels containing Gold or Silver must be insured for at least part of their value.

parcels must be sealed, all the seala must be of the same kind of war, and must bear distinct impressions of some device, and this, device must be the same on each seal. Straight, curved or crossed lines are not admissable.

Coins must not be used for sealing Tho Clerks of the Post Office are forbidden to seal parcels for the public, or to affir stamps on letters or parcela..
