MOTOR NOTES FROM HOME.

[Written for the Hongkong Daily Press.]

LONDON, November 22nd. THE OPENING OP OLYMPIA. The Exhibition at Olympia was opened with.. out any great formality by his Royal Highnes, the Dake of Connaught, who was accompanied by his son, Fringe Arther, and Major Murray, and attended by Lord Montaga of Beauliou, and Mr. E. Manville, president of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, with Captain Dundas Orr (South Sinffordabire Regiment), and other gentlemen. A largǝcrowd impatiently awaited aùmission, and from that day to this on which I write, it has been surging in and out of the hago building.

A colation is being sought in the middle way, so that we hava Elastan, a new kind of Alling in place of air, that gives a paradoxiesl kind of sold-hollow" tyre. I do not know en÷ngh, as yet, of the merits, or demerits, of Elastes; bat ovan if it provas satisfactory in Europe, it may not give equal results in the tropice, and yet, it may, And again, is if the long sought solution of all our tyra-troublos ? Elastos is certainly interesting, and I propose giving it some attention in the way of expori- ments on which I hops to report in a futurs letter. Snob are a few of the noteworthy things to be seen at the Show. It is quite hapeless to attempt anything like a full and adegasto review of the whole. The voluminous notes, taken in therefore, remain to be dealt with as occasion the interest of my readers in the Orient, most

calls for them. The Show closes to-morrow (Saturday), and the current news of the motor world will resume its wonted channels. With the closing of the Show comes the question: will the Olympia Motor Exhibition be dis continued for the future? The fact is, it does not pay. Designed as a big advertisemexat, firms do not ful that they gat value for their money in the shape of increased business. Esch premisss, where prospective parchasers may firm has a permanent "stand” in its own view the various models. "The newspapers. sud one mm igər to me "are.much more useful to us than all this." THE BOON OF HEALTH.

HOW YOU MAY REGAIN IT, IF

LOST, AND KEEP IT.

There is no greater single source of happiness than that which co nos from the possession of good health. An invalid though he posses £100,000 cannot be really happy. Therefore, every man and woman should seek the boon of sonnd health Now what is health! It is the orderly working of all the bodily functions. The nourishment and strength of your body and brain depend on the proper digestion of your food.

Indigestion is the chief ailment of the hum n race, It starves your system. Yon become weak Dervous, an ulc, while impurities, dus to decomposition of the undigested miss in stomach and bowele, puss into your blood an poison. your whole system.

APPROACHING UNIFORVITY.

Car design is approaching to a general naiformity. The question of "live axle versus chain" has been practically settled by an almost animous adaption of the former; though, to

be sure, the covered-in chains as fitted to Sunbeams and Albions are capable of wonderful performances. There are many detail improve ments in cars and fittings, but few la car construction in general
