Another old Hongkong resident passed away early on Saturday morning at the residence of his son, "Villa Brausa", Robinson Road. We refer to Dr. Francisco P. Boares, who has been resident in Hongkong for 55 years.

years and was well-known and highly esteemed, especially ong poor people, to whom his charity was great: The late Dr. Soares was sleo a alever dispenser. I started the Oriental Dispensary in 1800, and carried it on with varying success till about eight years ago, when he had a stroke of paralysis whick rendered him incapable of work. He was 83 years of age. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon and was well attended.
