It would be plonast for His Fxcellunoj to know that the cup--which was worthy of soceptacon-had been won with a store which was worthy of the covasion (spplause). Pro ceeding to gira's cosuiné of the work of the Association during the past year, Sir Henry asid that on 1st January, 1906 the strength of the Association was 213 and be had great pleasure in stating that on Int Joanary, 1907 the strongth was 251-(applanes)-an increase of 28. It was satisfectory to note that the membership had not stood at 251. It was more than that now. What was more satisfactory than mere nambers was the record of shooting, which showed an all round improvement. This was especially soon in the competition for the Governor's Cup. His Excellency would be glad to learn that the irat three attendances, and made competitors had learned to shoot since they joined the Association. (applause). The score of the winner was 955 act out of a possible 420, equal to 4 points out of fevery possibla Ove (applause). Further good had resulted from the shooting for that Cap given by His Ex- celloney. That was the extreme competition of the members, there being to fewer than 1470 estries for the competition. Not only was the competition, keen but it was close, this being shown by the fact that there were only eight pointsbetween the first five men (spplause) That Was so good as could be hoped for.
