ENDANGERING LIPE

Mr. J. T. Pearce, an overseer in Messrs. Batterield and Bwire's employ, charged Ip Kin, a cargo boatman, with disobeying the awfall ordere of the Harbour Master bý passing within a danger Ang hoisted by bix ordars, and thereby endangering the lives of two divers at work.

Prosecutor stated that at 2.30 p. on Monday he was in charge of salvage operations at Mosers. Butterfield and Swire's pior at West Point with two divors down. The defendant's eargo heat, notwithstanding the red flags showing, crossed right over his divers, causing complainant to top sil work and bring them to the surface. When the cargo bost found itself on top of the dirore, however, the crow stopped pulling and rendored every assistance.

His Worship found the defondant guilty, imposed a fine of $In, and warned her to take more care in the future when in the vicinity of divere working on the bottom whose danger flags are Hying.
