Christans Cards (if prepaid et Printed Matter ratos) must be posted either in an unfastened envelope or in a cover which can be easily removed for the purpose of examination without breaking any seal or tearing any paper or separating spy adhering surfaces. Covere may be Becured with string.

Cards in cloud envelopes with notched ends or corners cut will be taxel as letters. The best method of sending cards is to auclose them in an envelope with the flap tarnel in.

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR'S HOLIDAYS,

Christmas Day, Doxing Day and. New Year's Day have been declared public holidays. On Christmas Day the Post Office will be epon.from 8.0 am, until 9.0 am.

There will be

ans delierery and one collection as ou Suadaye. In the event of the French Mail arriving from. Europe, the Post Effice will open for one hour after the rail is sorteil.

On Boxing Day the Post Office will remain opon until the French Mail for Europe is dispatch at Noon..

On New Your's Day th Post Office will be closed except from 8.00 am, till 9,00 a.ar. will be ose delivery of letters and one collectofn nu en Silays.

The Money Order Office will be entirely closed during the holidays.

The Geisen, with the Cerman mail of the 21st November left Singapore on Friday gho-luth inst. at iam and may be expected here on or about Tuesday, the 19th inst., at fi pan. Mails for CARTON, SAMMI and WYCHOW! are closed on weekdays at 75 m. On Sunday the mail for Macao is closed at 8 a.m.

Malis for NAMTAO, SANBUE, KONGMOON, Kunchuk, *SAMBITUI, WUCHOW and CANTON are closest every weekday, AL 5 p.to. On Sundays the mails are closed at 9 a.m.

No wails are despatched to these places on Saturday evenings, unless previously notified,
