Few people realise what an art boat and yacht sailing is. Yot in the sailing of yachts the por- sonal equation of the helman counts for as much as does the difference in skil of the jockeys of racehorses. In our time there is said to be ely one susteur yachtsman who can hold his own at the tiller in sailing a largo yacht in a race with professional helmsmen of the first clear. And in our time there has only been one gentleman rider who could compete with an Archer or a Fordham in flat racing.
