The Russian outrage, which in most severaly condemned by all pleases hare, has had for result to pat an end to the Franco-Russian alliance, a myth at best. The effects of the revolution throughout the Bursian Empire are slready taking root'in Francs; spart from ervating a very bad impression, it has hit this country muok harder than she expected, from a financial point of view.

As every body knows, Frane, is Ruggia's largest creditor; every inhabitant holds on an average 250 francs worth of Bassian Government stook. This said, it is easy to form an idea of the panie that will seize the French public on their attempting to rush and all their Russian holdings. Nothing short of a financial testrophe of unprecedented magnitude would ensue. No wonder that leading French banks are moving heaven and earth to provent such misfortune; yet this is certain to take place Booner or later, following events in Basis and her miserable position in the Far East-both which are anything but reassuring. The French who are positively horrified at what happened in St. Petersburg last Sunday, continue to bold the Czar's Ministers more so | than the Car himself-responsible for the massers of the innocent and defenceloss--one of the most atrocious crimes in the history of bratai Bassis. The Paris Press does not spare either Nicholas II., or his executioners.
