NOW CURED BY BILE REANS.
The trying conditions under which people in hot countries live put a heavy strain upon the delicate organs of the human system, from the derangement of which, arise many of the most troublesome ailments to which mankind is heir. For this reason Chas. Forde's Bile Koans are really a great boon. A FOREST FIKA
The Fontaineblean fire is still raging, though not so fiercely as a week ago. The conflagration has proved a much more serious one thar was thought as many as one thousand acres have been ruined, despite the incessant work of the 3,000 soldiers who have been trying night and day to extinguish the flames by digging Leeches and cutting down trees. By so doing they hars succeeded in confining destruction to a limited aroa. No one could have worked harder thanthese soldiers, who appear as so many Reinons viewed through the thick smoko. Several accidents have unfortunately taken place, not altogether surprising. Water cannot be obtained, so this troops have had to beat out the flames, not an easy task. The forest of Fontainebleau is as magnificent as it is exten- sive, covering 65,000 acres, The town is four miles away from where the fire is raging, and a the latter is next le extinguished, no fears are entertained as to its sifety; for all that it had a narrow escape. La Ferelle Fontainebleau, the scene oftheconflagration, is visited by thousands of Parisians and others every Sunday: It pays the railway companies to run excursions to the spot. The historical forest is 64 zules in circuit. Perhaps, no forent presents such a variety of picturesque views; rocks, ravines, valleys, plains-all are found here; the woods abound in every variety of tree; the meadows, laws, and cliffs pre-cut every species of plant The finest point of view in the whole forest is from the Fort de l'Empereur, a belvedere, about a mile from the town, from which an extent of nearly forty miles is dis-
