MR. JOSE MARIA GOMES. We have also to announce the death of Sr. José María Gomes-on of Dr. Francisco d'Asis Gomes, one of Hongkong's oldest, and best known Portuguese residents. He died from typhoid fever at 2.30 yesterday morning, and was buried in the afternoon. Mr. Gomes, who was 34 years old, was bookkeeper, at the Hongkong Hotel.
