"Its playing every individual note of the Piano makes it, with- out doubt, the most wonderful and perfect Piano Player,"
A Piano has a range of 85 notes -so has the Apollo. Other play. ers leave one-third of the Piano useless.

A Hupel despatch of 12th August says:shara report, dutal Hoagkong, 19th August:- Maus reports from prefects and magistrates are received here, but outsiders have ma zameurs. Some say the trouble at Enshih was caused by a quarrel betwean Catholics and Protestants, while the others say that certain profects caused the trouble. The only thing known here is that three priests and seron. converts were killed (the number of couverts killed was reported assix, but this is wrong). All the anti-Catholie troubles have been negotiated through the French Consul-General at Shanghai, hitherto, but in this mattor the French Consul at Hankow has taken it up to deal with as he was unked to do so by the Catholics. The French Consul is now in negotiations {with Viroroy Chang Chilting, and he also asked the Viceroy to instruct the local authorities to settle the affair spoedily. Fou or five days after the trouble had kappened a French warship came up from Shanghai and went up to Ichung as the French Consulat Ha-311f cash, and at Si aud $119 for. stead. The Prefect of Shilinan, kuowing trouble was expected, took leave and returned to his native hons on the pretence of illness. Sab-prefect Ha took charge of the Prefects duties. And on the 11th July the trouble had arisen. Some say Sub-prefect Ho was foolish nough to take elarge of the prefecture: how. fever. her is talk about the conduct of the Prefect of Shihnan having tried to avoid the expected trouble with the pretence of illness and the prefect will properly be dealt with, This is the reason why the prefect is suspected of being concernel in the trouble. The Viceroy PER MONTH However, Sub-prefect Ho is considered to he will certainly deal with the prefect properly. tos foolish not to have known what was expected to happen while he allowed the prefeet to have leave of absence and while he was working all the time with the prefect before the trouble had happened. -Unireisend Goertle.
