up to $31 cust has been paid; this is probably on account of the report that the two French subsidized opposition boats on the river will etsaa running for some time to come; the 76th ordinary half-yearly meeting of shareholders w3l be held on 16th proximo, transfer books closing from 2nd to 16th proximo. Indo Chinas declined farther and shares sold from the north as low as $101 cash, and $104 for 3let December. A reaction has however ast in since, and up to $100 cash have been paid locally, while a considerable time business has been done st rates which, although comparing unfavorably with the present cast rate, show a slightly improved Londenoy; the Shanghai canlı rate has advanced from Tls. 72, to which the northern market receded, to Pls. 75 casis. London quotes £94. China and Manilas improved to $20, but at the close buyers do not ofler over $253. Douglases are unchanged with buy rant $35, Star Ferries ure wanted at $36 for old and $20 for new shares, after farther sales of the former. Shell Transports have dropped to sellers at 23.
