THREE CONVICTIONS.

A Chinaman was charged on three counts. First of all he was convicted of barglary, at No. 193. Third Street, where he stole a pair of spectacles and some clothing, the goods in all being valued at $70. For this he was sentenced to four months' imprisonment and two hours' stocks in lien of one day's imprison- ment.

The second charge was of larcony of a water smoking-pipe valued at 81, the sme penalty, being imposed.

Lastly he was found guilty of stealing two pieces of clothing valued at $0, silvor chain and ebarm, and $30 in money; altogether property to the value of $63. Again the same penalty was imposed, so the man will have ito ge to prison for 12 months and undergo
