FIRE INSURANCES SHARES.-Hongkongs show a slight improvement, and are wanted at $280 or the dividend of $22 per share paid on 7th instant. Chinas sold at $83 to $8 ex the dividend and bonus of together $7 por share paid yesterday and are steady at 88, although a small odd lot is still obtainable at $83.
SHIPPING SHARES.-Hongkong, Canton and Macaos have dropped to $27 sellers. In los, in
consequence of rumours in Shanghai that the Company would pay a dividend of 5 per cent, out of the Insurance Fund, rosa rapidly in the north, and up to Tls. 64 cash and 624 for 31st July was paid.
