Dandy had to be shot. Fiscal won the Hong kong Stakes on was pretty generally anticipated. Rajah came in firat in the Consolation Stakes with Vancouver second.

Coronet Rose, Mr. Buxoy's Derby winner, was, naturally, a hot favourite for the Champion Stakes, though, indeed, many also backed Mr. John Peel's Polka for a win. Coronet Rosa won hands down. Mr. Buxey, undoubtedly the most ferinnate owner of the mesting, again won In Nil Desperaudam Stakes with bis hores Pink Rose, who proved himself by far the best of the beaten lot. Had one backed the Roses right through they would have been well in.

The Pari-mntuel was run this year by Mr. I. r. Madar, assisted by Mr. U. Komjabo. (Messrs.Dercon, Looker and Descon). The public were very musk pleased with the way that it was conducted this year, with far better facili- ties than in former years, especially the selling and speedy payment of prize tickets. Although the building is not quite adequate for the purpose owing to the narrow walls that obstruct the free ingress and ogress of the public, every- thing was carried outwithouta single complaint:

Mr. I. P. Madar and Mr. U. Rumjaha bavo done much to pleaso the public in general, and great praite is dus both to him and to his sesistant as well as to the whole staff employed in working the Pari-mutusi,

The results were as follows-
