It is stated that Great Britain originally restricted bor co-operation with Germany to the recovery of the sum, $310,000, whose Baal instalment is payable to Germany in July. President Castro has thanked Mr. H. W Bowen for bis efforte on behalf of Vanezuela, and has congratulated him upon the success of those efforts.
THE REVOLUTIONISTS.
London, 16th February. Immediately the blockade of the Venezuelan ports was raised President Castro made vigorous efforts to crash the revolutioniste.
MR. CARNEGIE'S OFFER.
London, 16th February. Learning of Germany's demand of Venezuela that she should pay $340,000 cash (£88,000), Mr. Carnegie unreservedly and without mentioning security secretly offered Mr. H. W. Bowen $362,000 cank.
Mr. Bowen, while thanking Mr. Carnegie for his kind offer, dealerod that Venezuela's accept- enve of it was not necessary.
MLCEDONIAN COMMITTEES DISSOLVED.
London, 15th February, Bulgaria announces the dissolution of the Macedonian revolutionary committees within her borders. Bulgaria will place strong cordons of troops on the Macedonian frontier. THE MACEDONIAN DIFFICULTY.

A meeting of 10,000 sympathisers with the Macedonians was held in Sofia on Sunday. Revolutions were passed condemning the action of the Government is dissolving the revolu tionary committees and demanding their ro- establishment. The meeting also passed a resolution demanding that individual offenders should be brought to trial.
TRANSVAAL EXPOSURES.
London, 17th February. The exporn es made of the negotiations of the Transvaal Government prior to declaring war on England have given rive to many other state- ments which have caused considerable surprise. AB, it is now admitted that before. rushing into war Kruger was well satisfied that Con- tinental support, would be forthcoming it is supposed in many quarters that the Transvaal had many offers to secure it, especially from Germany. Referring to one statement, Mr. Krager denies that he aver offered a pro- tectorate over the Transvaal, or that Prince Bismarck refused it.
