In celebration of the anniversary of King Edward's birthday, His Excellency the Gover ner, Sir Henry Arthur Blake, G.C.MC, heid alovée on Saturday afternoon at Government House. The function began at four o'clock and was largely attended. At a quarter to four there was a private entrée for members of the Executivo and Legislative Councils, Bishops, Judges, heads of Government Depart mente, Consuls-General and Consuls of Foreign Powers, and naval and military oflcers of Beid or corresponding rank.
