The following motions were carried. That Dr. 3. G. Kerr's resignation be accepted (sho, that a committee of the Society be formal to write a suitable testimonial expressive of Dr. Kerr'a long service in the past sad of the Swiety's regret that he foole it incumbent upon him to ratirs from the chair; also that this be inserted. in the winntes of this meeting.

That the Rev. Blessrs. Wisner, Grrons, and Stareas compose a committee to draw up this testimonial.

That a vote of thaplo be extended to the U.S. Cousal for bis interest in security sub- scriptions from the Chinese official; to" Hessrs. Smith and Doherty for a careful audit of the. accounts; nad to the Imperial Maritimo, Cou- toms for donations of salt.

That the Board of officers for the ensuing year be constituted as follows
