Shanghal, 8th Neveinber Yesterday afternoon a large brown bear, which has been figuring in street performanous in Shanghai for a couple of years past, took charge of a large section of the unsavoury yarlieue of Pah-tien-is just behind the French Police Station, on the Bus du Cón- enlst, and was not secured until he had mauled a tilo Chinese girl of four years of age obably that she led almost framoodiately.
