SURVEY of 3 etion of this Southern entrance to the Yangtze, extending aboné 16 miles outwarta from the Small Kiu:oan Bencon, which was completed on flie 7th instant, shows that a Middle Ground or Shoal, with a width of from 2/10th to 8/10ibs of a mile and having from 6 to 18 feet of water on it, stretohes marly 7 milo in a South-easterly direction from a point N. 64 E., Ristart: 2 10 miles train the Klutoan Boscar and that the channel to the North-eastward of this Middle Ground is at present wider, dosper, and more dirent than the Tona on its South-western side.
Notice is hereby given, thurefore, that on or about the 20th instant, the present Blockhouse Shoal Buoy will be removed the Kidsan Tightship will ba moored off the South-western edge of Blockhouse Shoal. about 3 1/10th miles N. 71 E. From the Kinton Beacon and 14
miles N. 31 from bor present position; and the Middle Ground will be marked by two RED AND BLACK vertically-striped Finoys-the one on its outer cr South-eastern and carrying a dia reond-shaped cogs and the one puits iuper suda triangular cage.
