Looking into this they found them enormously high, and increasing from year to year. The company decided that notwithstanding the ressous in favour of that city the single item of taxes more than balmxicod 79.21 them, and went elsewhere. It requires Ligh! taxes to set the stealing and-waste from laçk of business methods in city affairs, and useally a manufactoring property is easily come at to tax. Unless they are afforded the relief of hon est use of mousy raised by taxation manufactur ers will be found more in smaller towns, where the lowers burden of taxe will leave them some- ing in the way of profit
