A man named Soith, in the employment of Elworthy and Dobbin, was drowned whllo passing with a cart through the water. He was thrown out and was anable to recover his feat. Accounts of damage, more or less, are being revived from all parts of the country. So heavy is the flood in the Gippsland district that the trains to Sale have been stopped.

The brig Alexandri, bound from Melbournoto Port Pirie, wilk a general cargo and railway aloopers, went ashore about 10 miles south of Mount Young before daylight on Friday morn ing.
