The British bark Mariner reports, left, Iloilo on August 3let. Fore part of the passago light variable winds latter part experionead very us steady weather and two heavy typhoons.

The Siamese abip Chum Bye reports left Bangkok on 2nd September, and had light winds throughanty last four days high confused sea with falling barometer; since then fres Easterly winda.

The French bark Valentine reporte left Maulta on 9th September at 8 o'clock p.m. Experi enced calme and light breezes to the 17th Sept., On the 19th, when in 115 E. tongitude from Greenwich 17 North latitude, was caught in typhoon, of which we did not experience the full violence. On the 22nd September sighted Lam Island. The weather had a most threatening sppearance and the barometer was sensibly falling. Made Southward to get clear of the land, and at B-d'abat the wind comenced to blow with violence, which increased up to 12 ofclock, After that hour until the storm Anished at 5 o'clock .m. the barometer rose sensibly, and we got out of the gentre of the hurricane. Made for Hongkong at 6 am, and arriveð até am, on the 24k.-
