AN INTERESTING CASE. IN XE THE BANK OF HINDUSTAN, CHEN L'AND JAPAN (LIMITED)-TX. PARTE ALISON.. This was a summons by Mr. Alexander Alison for an order that a cortain claim of his for £275 and interest therma at £5 per cent might be allowed against the estate of the above-named company, and might be paid out of its amets. It appeared that Mr. Alison had held 5 shares in the Imperial Bank of Chins, Indis. and Ja. pan (limited). on which he had paid to that company £o por share. In 1864 that bank en: tered into an agreement with the Bank of Hip dustan, China, and Japas (limited) for an anal gnation. Mr. Alison was not at first a party to the proposed arrangement, but when it was completed he so far concurred as to apply un-
der the scheme for 25 shares in the amalgama.
