The British stemmebip Formosz reports leit Aney du 25th January, experienced modta N.F. monsoon and fine weather; passed the steinship Thales yesterday morning, bound North.
The French bark Kermalo reporta left Bang. kok on 28th November, experiquoad strong N.E. winds and heavy head sea throughout the presage.
The Narth German ship Jupiter reports left Bangkok on 25th October, had light winde down the Gulf, and strong Ñ.E. monsoon, and squally attended with very heary head sen, till arrival ou Jaunery 20th.
The British bark Jaogen reports left Siuga- pore on 25th December, Saigon or the th, and Cape St. James on 14th January, experi- ensed very severe weather; strong N.E. mon. soon and gales, with very heavy head sen.
The British steamship Acantha reports left Shanghai on 23rd Jatiming at 10a.m., and fresin monegan and high sea throughout; passed two stoanters off the Lammocks on Thursday night, names unknown.

The success of other public companies in Shanghai and Rongkong, and the evidence of a largo eum of money seating invest ment in China, encourage the belief that the proposed Capital for this Bank will be, readily subscribe; many influential native merchanta kayu already come forward as antive promoters and supporters of the undertaking, and the Committee look for a very valuable constituency from Chineso
