Steamers, &c. for Chines The paddie-wheel steamer Dumtaries, which er bare before noticed as building by Mears. Jenny and O., Dumbarton, for Messrs. Gibh, Livingsian and Co., China, teier her speed between the lights on the Clyde, and the distance in 65 minutes. being equivalent to a speed of over 11 zuiles.

The paddle beel bast by the same builders for Mesare, Jardine, Matheson, and Uo., hus bien launched and nomad the Glengye. Another screw steamer has been launched for Mesirs, Trautman and Co., of Shanghai, and there, from the yard of Messrs. Blackwood and Genture, Port Glasgow. She is named the To Pany Ngo. Length, 220 fuet; beam, 29; depth, 14 and bor register tonnage about 800 tons, with engines of 150 HP.
