Road connection works in Yuen Long proposed
The Government today (Friday) proposed to build a road to connect Sai Yu Street and Ma Tong Road in Yuen Long.
Aimed at relieving traffic burden at the junction of Kau Yuk Road and Sai Yu Street, the proposed works will include:
(i)
construction of a 30-metre road linking Sai Yu Street and Ma Tong Road;
(ii) reconstruction of a 125-metre section of the existing road;
(iii) reconstruction of a 140-metre section of the existing footpath;
(iv)
(v)
construction of a footpath following the realignment of Sai Ching Street and Sai Yu Street; and
ancillary drainage works and street lighting.
The plan and scheme may be inspected during office hours at:
Public Enquiry Services Centre, Central and Western District Office,
ground floor, Harbour Building,
38 Pier Road, Central, Hong Kong;
Yuen Long District Lands Office,
ninth floor, Yuen Long Government Offices,
2 Kiu Lok Square, Yuen Long, New Territories; and
Yuen Long District Office,
Yuen Long District Office Building,
269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long, New Territories.
Details of the proposal were published in Government Gazette today.
Any person who wishes to object to the works or the use, or both, is required to address his objection in writing to the Secretary for Transport, second floor, East Wing, Central Government Offices, Lower Albert Road, Hong Kong not later than April 1, 1997.
