During the week, the Civil Engineering Department will also continue its roving exhibition on slope maintenance on the third floor of the Cheung Fat Shopping Centre in Tsing Yi from December 2 (Monday) to 8 (Sunday).
The week-long exhibition, to be open to public daily from 10 am to 10 pm, will feature various aspects of proper slope maintenance through display of colourful illustrations and photographs. A promotional video will also be shown at the venue.
Both the Drainage Services Department (DSD) and the Water Supplies Department (WSD) will open their treatment plants in Sha Tin on December 7 (Saturday).
The DSD's Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works at Shui Chong Street, Sha Tin, will be open from 9.30 am to 5 pm. Members of the public can make use of the free shuttle bus services at Sha Tin Centre Street (fronting Sha Tin Plaza), Kent Road at Kowloon Tong (near Kowloon Tong Mass Transit Railway Station), and the Kowloon Canton Railway University Station.
WSD will open to public their Sha Tin Water Treatment Works at 12 Keng Hau Road, Hin Tin, Sha Tin, from 10 am to 4 pm. The plant is the largest water treatment works in Hong Kong and free shuttle bus services will be provided at Tai Wai Railway Station.
The department will also organise exhibitions on water works at two customer enquiry centres. Details are as follows:
