Question: C H Tung - the Chief Executive candidate.
Governor: I do not want to comment on the whole business. I do not want to comment on the race, let alone what some people say is involved in the race. Question: Mr Governor, I would like to know how the Government is prepared to assist with the Chief Executive designate after he has been elected. Some say that the Government will at least provide him a provisional office or a secretary. Has the Government had a detailed schedule of this particular matter?
Governor: We have got a very clear idea of the sort of things that we should offer the Chief Executive Designate, but obviously the Chief Executive Designate will have his own ideas as well and will want I hope to come to a happy agreement and compromise.
