The following serving members have been re-appointed:

Mr Sheung Kwok-chu, Principal of Po Leung Kuk 984 Prevocational School; and

for another two years from August 1:

Mrs Elim Lau, JP, Principal of Diocesan Girls' School

All the above appointments and re-appointments will take effect from August 1.

The Secretary for Education and Manpower paid tributes to the retiring Chairman, Mr Fang, for his leadership and his contributions to the Authority over the past six years.

"Under Mr Fang's leadership, the Authority has grown further in strength into a strong, effective and highly respected institution as it is today," said Mr Wong.

"In particular, he has given wise counsel on the Authority's management as well as enormous support to the Authority's endeavours to streamline its operations over the past few years.'

Mr Wong also expressed appreciation to the retiring members for their dedication and service to HKEA. They are Mr Chan Bing-sing; Mr Chan Pui-tin; Mrs Yan Ho Siu-wan; Mrs Winnie Hung Lam Wing-yan; Mr Lee Pun-cho; Dr Lui Ming- wah, JP; Dr Pang King-chee; and Dr Tse Ka-kui.
