Board of Education appointments announced

The Secretary for Education and Manpower, Mr Joseph WP Wong, today (Friday) announced the appointment of Mr Moses Cheng Mo-chi as Chairman of the Board of Education.
Mr Cheng is a former Legislative Council member and a partner of P C Woo and Co.
New members appointed to the Board are:
Sister Bernadette Au Yee-ting, Principal of Sacred Heart Canossian College; Miss Eliza Chan Ching-har, consultant of Jewkes and Partners;
Mr Ronald Lau Yiu-fai, Principal of Hong Kong Weaving Mills Association Chu Shek Lun Prevocational School; and
Mr Clement Tao Kwok-lau, Managing Director of Associated
Advisors Ltd and a member of the Language Fund Advisory Committee.
The following members are appointed to the Board on an ex-officio basis:
Chairman, Advisory Committee on School Administration and Finance; Chairman, Advisory Committee on School Guidance and Support Services; Chairman, Advisory Committee on School Places Allocation; Chairman, Committee on Home-School Co-operation; Chairman, Curriculum Development Council; and
Chairman, Private Schools Review Committee.
Mr Wong also announced the re-appointment of the following serving members:
Mr Chan Tak-hang, a teacher of Pui Ching Middle School;
Mr Cheng Chi-leung, Assistant Principal of SKH Bishop Mok Sau Tseng Secondary School;
Mrs Philomena Chu Tang Lai-kuen, Supervisor of kindergartens and child care centres under Caritas;
Mr Irving Koo Yee-yin, Director of Jardine Pacific Limited;
Dr Simon Leung Man-on, Principal of the Ebenezer School for the Blind;
Professor Leslie Lo Nai-kwai, Dean of Faculty of Education at the Chinese University
of Hong Kong;
Dr Pang King-chee, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Education;
Mr Pun Tin-chi, Headmaster of GCEPSA Tseung Kwan O Primary School (PM); and Mr Tang Hing-lin, Principal of the SKH Chan Young Secondary School.
