Tenders invited for village improvement works
The Civil Engineering Department is inviting tenders for village improvement works at Tai Tei Tong and Pak Ngan Heung in Mui Wo on Lantau Island.
The project comprises the construction of 1.3 kilometres of emergency vehicular access road, a sewerage system, water mains, refuse collection stations, together with site formation for amenity areas and an electrical sub-station for Tai Tei Tong and Pak Ngan Heung in Mui Wo.
The contract will also include the river training of 600 metres of Wang Tong River in the vicinity.
Work is expected to commence in August this year and will take 21 months to complete.
Tender forms and further particulars of the project can be obtained from the Chief Engineer, Development and Airport Division, Civil Engineering Office, Civil Engineering Department, second floor, Civil Engineering Building, 101 Princess Margaret Road, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon.
Tender offers for the project will close at noon on May 17.

Waterworks for Pokfulam and Central
The Water Supplies Department is inviting tenders for mainlaying works to provide salt water for Pokfulam area and to improve fresh and salt water supply to the mid-level and high-level areas in Central, Hong Kong. The contract includes laying of about one kilometre of fresh water mains and five kilometres of salt water mains along Robinson Road, Mosque Street, Victoria Road, Sha Wan Drive and Sandy Bay Road.
Works will commence in August this year for completion in about 17 months.
